Holi Outfit!

White embroidered chicken kurti styled with basic white leggings and colorful synthetic dupatta and paired with brown Kolhapuri jutti and silver jhumkis.

Happy Holi GUYS!

I know Holi is never been a festival for dressing up! And being all pretty! But Why not?? Well, I guess there is no certain rules for that! In my opinion, we should always slay, whatever the occasion it be. This time I chose to break all the rules, and be all ready for this festival of colours- Holi!! And Be ready to slay!

Holi- A festival of colours ushers in a carnivalesque mood among people of all age groups, every year! One who doesn’t know, this festival is an ancient Hindu festival. It indicates the arrival of spring after winter. And also signifies the victory of good over evil in Vedas. A festival that spreads happiness and love among all.

So about my outfit, I wore a white embroidered chicken kurti with basic white plain leggings and a colourful synthetic dupatta paired with brown Kolhapuri Jutti. And I added on colourful silver Jhumki or a big silver jhumki to complete the look! Obviously all these things weren’t at all expensive keeping in mind the devastating Colours!

I bought my clothings from Lucknow! Nawabo ka sheher! There is a vast and most famous market “Aminabad” situated in the heart of Lucknow, famous for its embroidered chicken garments. As I needed “not so costly” things, I went to smallest shops possible and bought this white embroidered chicken kurti for about 400 bucks aka rupees. It was quite reasonable, as kurti has the proper embroidery all over. Then this colourful cotton cum synthetic dupatta, I saw this hanging outside the shop. I bought it for 150 bucks/ rupees only. And a pair of Kolhapuri Jutti for about 300 bucks only. And a pair of leggings and earrings, I already had them. So my look was completed!

This was the most simple, still a beautiful look to wear on an auspicious festival Holi. A decent, still pretty and yet not so expensive look!

I hope you all like the outfit and enjoyed the post! I’d love to know your opinion about it!

Lots of love.

P.S: I didn’t mention the names of the shops as it is a very big bazaar with lots of shops. It would be amazing to explore the whole market instead of going to a particular shop.
